When my children were young, I created giant lollipops and distributed them around the garden for a Candy Land walk on Valentine’s Day. Nowadays, I assemble the lollipops in a basket, inserting the dowels into Styrofoam blocks in the bottom of the basket. This greets the guests of our grown-up Valentine’s Day Love Song Sing-Along Party.

You will need dowels of varying lengths, assorted Styrofoam shapes, rolls of colorful cellophane, curling ribbon (all found in craft stores) and scissors.

Simply insert one dowel into each Styrofoam shape, cut cellophane to cover and attach with ribbon.
