Brotherhood of Man

None of us is insignificant. We can begin by believing our life has purpose and that every life we touch and every cause we support will be transformed in some way. I have made a law of physics my own: Every positive action I take will have an equal, or greater reaction.

We cannot legislate love, but we can pass legislation that provides aid to the less fortunate and preserves our planet. We can create a better world and become better citizens by becoming role models and mentors, by teaching our children. We have the creativity at our fingertips to solve the world's problems: from famine to ecological disaster to homelessness if we can give, not hoard; embrace difference, not fear it; and examine daily how our lives effect others. And by being visionaries who are not afraid to stand up for the underdog and challenge conventional thought, always remembering that human life is fragile, as is the life of our planet.

Our creative fire can change the world one act at a time, one person at a time. "What we get makes a living; what we give makes a life."  Arthur Ashe
